For a long time, I was grandfathered in to the original $15/box price. This is the first box since they discontinued that and have everyone on the same plan now. I’ll have to evaluate if I feel the extra shipping cost is worth it over the next few months. The box arrived on a hot day and sat in the mailbox for a couple of hours. Summer treats are carefully chosen to be types that don’t generally melt, so everything was fine!

Hard Crack Toffee Cookies in Mocha, Chocolate Chip, & Original: What fun! Toffee cookies? Now that’s different. I like the taste of these cookies in general, though I’d love them if they were a little more sticky. I really like a toffee that gets stuck in your teeth. These are nice for a crunch and when you want something that doesn’t feel too heavy.

Keena’s Kake Designs Fudgeez Gourmet Brownies in Dark Chocolate: I like making brownies, so I’m not sure about this treat. I’m saving it for a snack or breakfast one day and I’m hoping it isn’t too dry for my taste. It does look good!

Bequet Confections caramels in Chocolate, Cinnamon Swirl, & Salted Butterscotch: Caramels are some of my favorite sweets. The caramels did get a little melted and stick to the plastic wrap, but it’s easy enough to lick it off. All the flavors are good and I’ve kept this in my bag for work! Great morsels to have around in the afternoon.

I still had some store credit to use and they were offering some of my favorite brands! I just couldn’t resist. I really loved the Dallas Caramel Co armadillos and they were selling them along with the horned toads, so I got double just to make sure I got my share of armadillos. I already re-ordered the Tahana Confections caramels before and I’ll probably keep getting them. This time, they also changed up their packaging and info card a bit.

B. T. McElrath Chocolatier chocolate bites in Super Red, Buttered Toast, Prairie Dog, Dark Chocolate Caramel: Yuuuuummy! What a luxurious bite of chocolate with each of these. They’re very firm, crisp pieces bursting with flavor. I found the bite-sized pieces to be perfect so I sure hope they offer them like that. These are wonderfully tasty morsels.

Tumbador chocolate Pretzel Poppers, Corn Nut Dragée, & PB&J: Adorable packaging, but I couldn’t figure out how to open those boxes without ripping them entirely (oh wait, I just used the bottom instead). The pretzel poppers have a nice powdery coating and are larger. Both the poppers and the corn nut dragée are delightfully crunchy and fun to eat. The chocolate bar had a surprising layer of raspberry pâte that was sort of like fruit leather, so when I tried to break off a piece, it wouldn’t break. The peanut praline is contrasted against that with a nice crunch. This is a great twist on PB&J, though I’m not into those snacks.

Malvi Marshmallow Confections cookie sandwich in Vanilla Salted Caramel: Wow, these are rich. Each sandwich is a fluffy, crumbly mouthful of sweetness. The vanilla is fragrant and the salt helps even out the sweetness. They’re more heavy than my typical fare, so one at a time is more than enough.

Dallas Caramel Company Armadillos & Horned Toads: These are made from the same ingredients – caramel, dark chocolate, and pecans. I prefer the armadillos because of the crunch of the dark chocolate and pecans against the soft caramel. With the horned toads, the caramel and chocolate are swirled so the whole thing is softer. I enjoy crispness though. Unfortunately the deal to add this to my box did not allow me to separate the two and only get the armadillos that I really wanted (so I just ordered twice as much instead).

Tahana Confections caramels in Salted & Vanilla: When I was ordering this, I mistook the salted for ganache with sea salt (my ultimate fav). Alas, I didn’t get my favorite flavor, but I do love the fragrance of their vanilla and I certainly like the salted too. Next time I’m getting just vanilla and ganache again, since those are my top picks!

I love the treats and have been getting better about eating them all instead of trying to hoard some for a rainy day. I mean, what sort of rainy day am I waiting for anyway? Which treats would you want? To get Treatsie, sign up with my link and get your first box free!

Mmm, goodness these are tasty treats! I tend to like more chocolate, caramel, toffee type candy and this box was chock full of that type of thing.

Carla Hall Petite Cookies: I have no idea how all those cookies could have fit in the container. They were exploding out of it when I opened my box! It was a bit messy, with crumbs everywhere, but at least they’re clean enough. I couldn’t stuff them all back in though so I’m pretty impressed at how much they fit in. I love the little bit of cinnamon that gives these cookies an extra kick. You think you’re getting a normal chocolate chip cookie, but then there’s that bonus taste…

Chocolate Twist Peanut Butter Pretzel Bar: At first I thought this was sort of like a Snickers bar and similar to the fixx chocolate bar. Then I saw it has pretzel, which is definitely different. It is nice and hefty, with a generous portion of caramel. I didn’t really get much of the peanuts or pretzels, though there was definitely a hint of peanut butter flavoring. This is quite a rich bar that is nice and dense. It’ll last me a few more rounds!

Nunu Chocolates Milk Chocolate Lollipop: How sweet! I’m thinking this could also work well as a hot chocolate stirrer, which is my newest obsession. I’ve had a couple of those recently, just by stirring chocolate into milk and it’s so much fun. I might just chow down on this like any other lollipop, or if I run low on the stirrers this will be my backup. 🙂

McFaddy Candy Co Valentine Toffee: Hmm, this totally foreign to me. I’ve never had fruit-flavored toffee! It’s very interesting, with the tartness of the raspberry mixing in with the sweetness of the toffee. Very intriguing. I’m not quite sure what to make of it still.

It’s quite the chocolate-fest to kick off the year. The nice thing about cold weather is you don’t have to worry about things melting. Frozen candy is far better than melted.

Dallas Caramel Company Armadillos: These are amazing. I love the solid dark chocolate crunch against the soft crunch of the almonds and the chewiness of the caramel. So delicious in so many ways! I think it’d be fun to add a little marshmallow to the mix here for even more awesomeness.

Dallas Caramel Company Caramel Assortment: Great caramels! Their assortment baggie is so adorable and the flavors are wonderful. I like that I got to try so many flavors! I liked the apple pie, chocolate, and sea salt most, but they were all good.

Biscuit Gourmet Biscotti in Chocolate The Muse: Am I imagining the hint of coffee? Maybe these are so dark chocolate that I think I taste that. I certainly would enjoy them more with a lighter flavor. I think pairing this with some milk would be perfect.

Buddha Chocolate Almond Butter Cup: When I tried this, I thought it had a bit of a taste I am not super fond of. Now that I see it has almond, that might be it. I am not much into peanut butter cups or almond stuff, so this was ok for me. I did love the chocolate part though.

The December Treatsie box totally has holiday flair! I am absolutely loving it and it’s finally starting to feel like Christmas is near.

Ticket Chocolate Peppermint Hot Chocolate on a Stick: This is so perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed the hot chocolate on a sticks from last winter, so I jumped at the chance to buy some from Target last week. Now I have another delicious one to enjoy and I can’t wait.

Newfangled Confections Frittle: Whoa, this is something made with peanuts that I actually really enjoy. It reminds me of those flaky, crunchy peanut candies. Totally addicting. I like how they flake, but then they sort of bind in your mouth if you give it more pressure, so it becomes more chewy like hard candy.

Serendipity Confections Gingerbread caramels: These are huge! The gingerbread taste comes in a few chews in. It tastes slightly different from caramels I’m used to – definitely a unique set of ingredients for them. It’s not my preferred taste, but these are still really good and I couldn’t stop eating until the entire piece was gone.

Grey Ghost Bakery Cranberry Orange cookies: This is a wonderful bakery with a great flavor for the season. I do prefer their lemon sugar ones, but those are just heavenly and can’t be compared. These are more tangy and have a little bit of a bite from the cranberries. I think drinking hot chocolate with these would be a perfect complement. Nom!

Alright, this is a box that I will completely devour. I’m excited to try more products and see what I might want to order from their shop. With the season cooling down, I’m happy to see more chocolates appearing again! The November Treatsie box came with a great treat for starting off the day and chocolates for any time.

fixx chocolates chelle’s cashew nougat bar: I was apprehensive about this at first after reading is was inspired by a Snickers bar’s flavor and contents. I’ve never been a fan of those, so I was wondering how I’d like this, good as it looked. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. The dark chocolate casing is rich and wonderful, with just the right kind of hardness. The inside with the nougat and caramel is sweet and soft, not at all like the icky Snickers. I could actually do with some more cashews since there was hardly any and some crunch would have been nice. This luxury bar may be made of similar ingredients, but it is soooo much better.

Megpies Blueberry Tart: I could instantly smell the butteriness of these the moment I opened them. I thought at first that there were two and I tried prying the crust apart only to realize my mistake. Luckily, it took just a bite or two to cover up that accident. 😉 This is a great dessert or breakfast item and the crust is somewhat like a croissant. I love the blueberry flavoring both inside and on top. I’m a fan.

Alcove Chocolate Fleur de Sel, Mimosa, and Red Velvet bars: Funny enough, my favorite was the mimosa, despite never having had a mimosa before. I guess I’m into that citrus and chocolate pairing, though the bar is a bit sweet so I’d definitely want to have it with something to even out the sugar rush. The textures of the chocolates are all smooth and crisp, which I like. The salt granules in the fleur de sel hit me in little pockets and then blended with the dark chocolate for a stronger dark chocolate sensation. The red velvet is softer, probably because it’s milk chocolate and boy does that flavor pack a punch! If you like your chocolates strong and intensely flavored, these are great. I need to pair them with something more bland and eating on them on their own is overwhelming.

This was a lovely box with more surprises than I expected. Some I liked more than I thought I would and some I didn’t prefer as much. Still, it’s a fantastic selection of products I’m glad I tried. A great variety this time around and all tasty stuff in this Treatsie box! The items had a more fall feel, just in time for the cooling season.

Quince & Apple Tart Cherry and White Tea Preserves: Hmm, this is an interesting flavor I wouldn’t be able to describe! It’s lightly tart and not overly sweet like many preserves. I like that it’s a more subtle flavor and I’ll have to find something to spread these on. It’s so cool that it’s made with tea and jasmine flowers.

J&M Triple Chocolate Cookies: Wow, they cooked these perfectly. The chocolate flavor, the crunchy texture, and the soft bits of chocolate chips is a wonderful combination. It’s a rich flavor and not the dry crunchy cookie, but perfectly made for enjoyment. I shared these with my coworkers and we couldn’t get enough of them.

Béquet Confections Classic Soft, Celtic Sea Salt, and Salted Mocha Caramels: We received these at the office last holiday season, so imagine my surprise when they showed up in this box! I love these caramels and was totally addicted to the bags we got last year. I sure hope we get more of these at the end of the year. They’re tasty and there are a ton of great flavors.

This month offered a choco-rific selection. They arrived in perfect condition, no melting at all! It looks like last month I just didn’t get the info card, because this time it was back. For the first time, I might have felt compelled to upgrade to the current Treatsie box with the extra items. If this continues I might up my subscription before my grandfathered plan expires.

Kika’s Treats Caramelized Graham Crackers in Pure Dark Chocolate: Caramelized is always a win in my book. These crackers are nice and crunchy, yet not super crumbly like the non-caramelized versions would be. They make a pretty fab snack and it’s almost toffee-like inside. They remind me of another snack that I can’t quite put my finger on. I can see these being a great accompaniment to a hot drink in the coming fall and winter.

Lambrecht Gourmet Karma Toffee: I was a bit concerned about the chocolate having a mocha flavor, since I’m not into that, but it’s not too strong. Still, I’d opt for a different flavor for future toffee needs. The toffee is not too sweet and the almond bits are a great way to offset the taste. I could use a little more chocolate to toffee ratio – the chocolate melts in your mouth and then there’s a huge chunk of toffee. I’d like more chocolate to linger.

chuao chocolatier potato chip, sweet & salty, salted chocolate crunch, and pop corn pop ChocoPods: At first I thought all their flavors incorporated potato chips, because that was the first flavor I saw. What an intriguing idea! I totally expected a chip dipped in chocolate, but it was more of little crunchy bits mixed evenly throughout the chocolate. I’m a fan of all of these! The minis are especially adorable because of their leaf shape. I really want to order more of these right away, but the Labor Day code isn’t working for them.

Now this is just the kind of candy mix I love! A little bit of caramels, a little bit of candy, and some chocolate. I was much more impressed by this month’s Treatsie box. I didn’t even notice until now, but I didn’t get an info card. Not sure if that’s just me or if they decided to stop including them?

Seattle Chocolates bars in Total Toffee and Dark Chocolate: Oooooo these made this box for me. I loved both flavors and will definitely keep a lookout for them in stores. The toffee had wonderful bits of crunchy toffee AND some fine grains of salt, which made for a really interesting texture. I’ve never had a bar like that before. The dark chocolate was smooth and very solid – a nice luxurious-feeling piece.

Shotwell Candy Co. Old Fashioned Cocktail Caramels: I thought these tasted a little strange to me and no wonder, they’re made with whiskey. Since I don’t drink, I have no idea what whiskey tastes like and whether someone who likes drinking would enjoy this flavoring in their caramel candy. I guess I’ll take the leftover pieces to work and see what others think. It’s not to my liking though, much as I enjoy a nice caramel.

Raley’s Confectionary Treatsie Variety Mix hard candy: How freakin’ adorable that a special Treatsie mix was put together! This is a grab bag of assorted flavors, mostly fruit ones, but then there’s root beer too. The designs are just fantastic and I love the fun pieces. I’m quite impressed with their designs! I’ve got to say, this is the cutest candy I’ve ever seen.

Just in time for my trip, I got these treats to snack on. With the warmer months in play now, we probably won’t get much in terms of chocolate, since it’d likely melt along the way. It’s also been awhile since Treatsie has included little ice packs with their boxes, which is good in that it saves on waste. I do miss the nice inner boxes that I reused for storing various things. So much is changing!

CC Made Caramel Popcorn in Classic, Rosemary & Cashew, and Pistachio: What fascinating flavors! I tried the classic first and it was a solid snack to have. Definitely a really tasty caramel popcorn, with a nice crunch to it. I then tried the rosemary cashew, which was kind of strange but still good. I wouldn’t go around eating bagfuls of it, but I liked the unique flair. There were a few bits of cashews mixed in, which was quite different. I haven’t tried the pistachio yet, but I imagine it also has nuts mixed in.

Williamette Valley Confectionery Strawberry Rhubarb & Raspberry Sweet Heart Pâte de Fruit: Oh boy, this is a whole lot of sugary sweetness! I couldn’t have more than one small bite before needing some water. If you have a major sugar craving, definitely check these out. I may have a sweet tooth, but I can’t quite handle this concentration of sweetness.

Serendipity Confections Sea Salt caramels: I can definitely taste the difference the brown sugar makes in these caramels – they’re richer and… warmer? It’s difficult to describe, but they are quite dense! I did devour them, though I don’t know if I’d prefer the brown sugar taste. A solid candy for sure, but just not to my personal taste the way some other caramels are.

They seem to be playing around with the look of their card. They only recently started to include one and this is the most developed look I’ve seen yet. I wonder if they decided to stick with this? As usual, the bonus item for upgrading to premium just isn’t enough for me to want to upgrade. I am perfectly happy with my fewer items. Do these treats appeal to you?
