Well, I seem perpetually two months behind on these reviews now… but with much of my recruiting behind me and things getting into a different rhythm, I hope to pay a little more attention to my blogging. We’ll see how well that works out. 🙂

Botanical Love Notes – How adorable are these? They have chamomile, calendula, and lavender. I feel like framing these in one of those three-panel frames rather than actually writing in them and giving them away. I may choose to use them eventually, but I like them as art for the moment.

Foxes & Ferns organic bath tea in Relaxation (bonus item) – One of these came back in May and I haven’t used it yet since I haven’t had a chance to take a bath, but it sure makes for a nice aromatherapy sachet. I will have to make sure I try it out when I’m back home in Virginia this winter. It’ll be fabulous!

Healthforce Superfoods Spirulina Manna – They recommend 15-25 tablets a day?! Wow, it seems so strange to consume so much of this stuff. I’ll try throwing a few in my food or something since it has a pretty strong seaweed-like scent. I could certainly use a health boost after all this time eating poorly.

Foxes & Ferns Lavender Love beeswax candle – This is a super cute candle with lavender buds in the wax and the bottom half of the jar dipped in gold. It’s such a wonderful decoration on the shelf that I don’t want to burn it just yet.

Atlas Cedarwood + Jojoba Oil roll-on – This is meant to be used to calm and purify. The woodsy scent combined with a hint of citrus (or something refreshing) is a really cool calming fragrance. It’s very unique and definitely not something I’ve smelled before. When I close my eyes it sort of reminds me of pine…

Angel Face Botanicals Grace antioxidant facial toner – Ah, I love facial toners. This one sprays wonderfully to create a nice mist on my face. It’s soothing and I’m a fan of the use of white tea. It feels fantastic and I can easily see this becoming my new fav.

Seva Amazon rainforest body oil – The first thing I noticed with this was the Off the Mat Into the World logo — I worked with a woman who is involved with that group! Totally awesome. This is a jar with a pump head, which will be fun to use. It has a light oil and seed sort of scent to it and absorbs well into the skin. This is the perfect kind of thing to use in the drier months to keep skin soft.

gomacro macro bar in cashew caramel – This little bar is very soft and chewy, which I like. It has a hint of nuttiness but is generally just sweet in my mouth. I like the smaller size since I don’t typically enjoy bars, but this is one I feel I can finish. If I decide to try bars in the future, I’ll definitely keep this in mind.

This was another fun box with some items I’m very interested in and others that I’m venturing out of my comfort zone for. I think that’s great! What do you think of this month’s box?

Alright, box number two! I really liked the skincare products and overall festive feel of this box.

Prospurly is just under $45 per box (with code for 10% off your subscription – use my referral links from this post) and comes with artisan foods, bath & body items, home products, and other sustainably crafted items. Bubbles & Botanicals Apple Spice cocoa butter whip – Oh the fluffiness of this whip is delightful! Just a little scoop and you get great moisturization. The apple spice scent is perfect for the holidays and makes me want to snuggle up to a fireplace with hot apple cider. I’m in love.

Leaf Seed Berry Green Apple Essence exfoliating facial toner – From Juice Beauty, I learned about green apple for skincare so this is very appealing. The glass bottle feels luxurious and classy. I think I can smell a bit of the licorice root in there as an undertone to the apple. I love toners because they make me feel so refreshed and cleansed. I might try putting this in a spray bottle to use.

Juniper Earth headache shower bomb – With lavender and eucalyptus, this shower bomb is totally soothing. I love relaxing to lavender scents, so I might keep this by my pillow for awhile. I think it’d be perfect for showering at night, when I don’t want the normal invigorating shower bombs that wake you up. It’s a great size too, so I’m sure it will last me a couple showers!

Pacific Northwest Stationary Studio ROANDNOVA holiday gift card set – This trio of holiday cards seems ripe for framing and keeping around as artwork. There’s a snowflake, pinecone, and reindeer design that are really cool and look like watercolors. The twine gives this a rustic feel and the folds don’t look done by a machine so this set feels artisan. Did they mean to spell stationery with the ‘a’ or should I mention to them the typo?

Sakari Botanicals Sweetgrass Tea – Very interesting that they used a large tea bag for their packaging, but it does not appear that you actually brew the tea directly in the bag. I’ve never had sweetgrass, so I look forward to brewing this at work next week. We’ve been having internet issues so it seems that every morning we end up losing connectivity and going home to finish up the day. I like to have hot drinks at work since it tends to be cold for us cold-blooded folk.

Yes It’s Pure Elderberry Boost herbal tonic – I was first introduced to tonics in a Homegrown Collective box. I didn’t try it many times, but I’ll give this a shot this season and try a bit a day to help keep my immune system up. It smells sort of like a dried berry I’ve eaten before and the taste is slightly sweet and herbal, I guess. Pretty good, considering its supposed medicinal qualities!

Whiskey Oak Pork & Poultry Seasoning – Ok, first of all, I am obsessed with packaging like this. I haven’t a clue what I’d put in it after I use up the seasoning, but I will treasure the jar, that’s for sure. Am I weird for this obsession? Well anyway, major smokiness to this rub that will certainly give meat a distinct taste. I might try making jerky with this seasoning, now that I have my dehydrator!

I’m a fan of everything in this box and I enjoy the curation of these products. I can’t wait to try them all and embrace the upcoming winter. This rather makes me ready for a snow day! The next theme is “Seasonal Splendor” so I’m sure it will be very holiday-esque. I’m excited to see what comes! What do you think of these products?

Petit Vour July 2015 review

More great products to help you through the hot weather. I can see each of these contributing a healthy summer glow.

Petit Vour is $15 per box (or as much as $30 for international subscribers) and comes with vegan beauty, skincare, and other personal care products. Boxes are sent monthly with no option to skip. They offer a referral program that earns you points towards free boxes (email contact@petitvour.com to say I referred you if you sign up!).

contents of petit vour july 2015 box with nubian heritage mango butter, luxe de mer toner, routine. de-odor-cream, aila nail lacquer, and info card with cruelty-free summer theme petit vour july 2015 box info card with item details

Nubian Heritage Mango Butter – Well, mango isn’t typically my thing but the scent is this is amazing. The consistency is a bit grainy at first and then when I let it melt on my skin and rubbed it in, it was very hydrating. It absorbs nicely to leave behind soft skin without greasiness.

Luxe de Mer organic rosewater toner – I love the cooling tingling that I get from applying this. It makes me feel so refreshed and confident that my inflammation will be soothed. It smells wonderful too!

routine. de-odor-cream – A clay deodorant? That’s cool! I thought it was powdery when I saw it, but it’s a nice creamy texture. I didn’t need much to rub in and it felt nice. I haven’t ever really needed deodorant, so I’m sure this will work for any perspiration I might have.

Aila nail lacquer in Doolish – Coral is a great summer shade. I do have some similar ones so I might share this (or my others) with someone. This nail polish is easy to apply, though you definitely need two coats to get a nice solid shade throughout.

I’m a fan of these products and will definitely consider repurchasing some of them. The only reason I’d trade the nail polish is because I have coral shades already, but we’ll see. Which of these items do you like most?
