I can’t wait until one day I have a cat again – this will be great entertainment for it! And it would be great in some sort of a sun room…

Pom-tastic treat!
Look at what I found waiting at my front door today! 🙂
Fall(ing) leaves
Light and fresh
Ah, haircuts! They are always so refreshing and renewing. There’s something about getting rid of some hair and coming out with a silky, shiny ‘do that is very pleasing. And today that is what I got done. 🙂 I’ve been meaning to get a haircut for awhile now – the ends of my strands were beginning to fray and the dryness lately has made my hair brittle and coarse.
The cut is nothing different from what I usually get, but the shampoo and conditioning I got today were great for the condition of my hair. Now my hair doesn’t weigh heavy on me or get tangled towards the ends. It feels so good to run my hands through and there’s not a hint of static! The wonders that a salon treatment can do. I absolutely love it, though I still don’t go more than two or three times a year at best, since it’s really a luxury and not a necessity.
Doesn’t your mood lighten too when it’s a bit breezier around your head? The better to appreciate wind with! The better to flip around! The better to twist and curl! Oh yes, it feels good and it makes me feel good. Sometimes I do understand why people spend so much money on things.
Super cool pens (maybe it’s the super ink)
Haute, hawt, or hot?
More dogs from the Halloween Haute Dog parade. Part 2, pictures from my camera. (See Part 1 here.) Click to see a larger image.
- They were sooo intricately made. Amazing.
- We missed the pumpkin drop, but came across the aftermath.

- Cop “clearing” the way for the parade.
- Miss Jr Long Beach, Miss Long Beach, Miss SoCal, and Mrs. Long Beach lead the parade.

- The poor dad had to push him the whole way and the kid kept steering into the curb when he got to us, lol.
- Sir Lancelot cruises on by with sword in hand.
- This family just pulled up on the other side of the street and watched from there. That’s gotta be an electric or solar-powered vehicle.
- Not only is he Mr. Potato Head, he’s Mr. Potato Head gone pirate!
- And then came the dogs, starting with these pugs.
- I was amazed that this dog didn’t kick off those shoes.
- It’s most likely Manny Pacquiao.
- Did the news guys get their footage already or were they going to get more shots?
- Simple, but awesome. Wolfgang Puck.
- I have no idea what this was supposed to be, but check out all the bright colors!
- They’re all twisted.
- Giddy-up!
- A tribute to a Facebook craze of the year: Farmville.
- This pug’s tongue never moved. It was astonishing.
- Psychedelic.
- This dog was trained to push her own float!
- This ship was so well-constructed.
Westwood parking
Bruins understand that Westwood is a crazy place to try to find street parking at, but this summer, it got out of control with construction and special groups arriving. Did they really need FIVE signs here?!?!
Dental shot
So I have a root canal in my front tooth, which I have no recollection of receiving and no clue why I needed it in the first place. I thought root canals were for older people, but apparently not!
It’s weird to see an x-ray of yourself… like, “hey, that’s my spine!” Kind of surreal.
Rainbow lightning
It’s stormy here in SoCal and there are some great shots being captured of this weather, courtesy ABC7’s photo gallery.
Awesometown’s Gourmet Food Truck Festival
Valencia, which has been branding itself “Awesometown,” had their first food truck event tonight, inviting a handful of the trucks to the parking lot at Bridgeport Marketplace. It was a smashing success and too good for its own good, with waaay more people showing up than anticipated. Panda and I spent an hour and an hour and a half each at the Fresh Fries and Border Grill Trucks, respectively. It was absolute insanity and I know next year it’s going to be a lot more spread out.
