Check out the awesome things I acquired in Hong Kong last month – some were gifts, some were free, and some I purchased. I’m very pleased with what I got! You’ll probably want to see some of these in more close-up, so feel free to click on the images to enlarge. 🙂
Ngong Ping is a nice little (fake) village up in the mountains of Hong Kong. The town center is a tourist’s dream, with shops, food, and even a tea house. As far as I can see it’s kind of like Disneyland though – completely constructed for tourists and not actually lived in. However, if you go outside this main area, you’ll find some real people along the way to the temple and the Buddha way up high.

Taking a cable car up to Ngong Ping village, with others whizzing by, the air flowing through, planes taking off in the distance, and finally, a view of the Buddha. Check out other videos from my Ngong Ping visit.

Coming down from a visit to Ngong Ping Village, I wasn’t sure the bus would make it at times.

It’s been a long 3 1/2 days, so here’s a quick video post. When I went up to Ngong Ping Village in Hong Kong, I was walking over to the temple when I came across this bull grazing. He was SO close – the video doesn’t do it justice. I was intimidated and very watchful of him, in case he decided to run one of us over. But hey, it seems he’s really into his food.

When I got my very own crystal cabin going up to Ngong Ping, I couldn’t resist lying down on the ground and enjoying the feeling of floating (kinda).
