Traffic stopper

I’ve always wanted to be in a cop car when they slow down traffic like that. Too bad this time I got caught behind him and my dad was just in front of him, in the Budget truck! Almost lost track of him on moving day to my new apt last month.

If we didn’t see a lady taking pictures at the tree, we never would’ve noticed this hawk-type bird.

Check out the worms in the background (also very vertical) that look like cousins of the clown fish.

You know that phrase, “sing like nobody’s listening”? This bird took it to heart. The video didn’t quite capture how he was going on this crazy warbling run. I assume it was mating season, so he actually wanted to be heard. 😛

Our second day in the Bahamas was supposed to be on those islands you can see way in the distance, but with weather like this, we couldn’t dock and spent the day at sea instead.

Taking a cable car up to Ngong Ping village, with others whizzing by, the air flowing through, planes taking off in the distance, and finally, a view of the Buddha. Check out other videos from my Ngong Ping visit.

Touching pool

At Sentosa Island, you can go to the Underwater World and find this touching pool, which is super fun. Hold your hand still and the fish will come up to you with a quick swipe against your skin. The guy narrating thought there was a close call, but that’s what it looks like when they swipe you. So fast it doesn’t look like it happened!

Blossom rain

I’ve described “zebra days” before and oftentimes you will find “blossom rain” occurring in such weather, where it’s sunny yet it’s drizzling at the same time.  (I only heard this term blossom rain due to meeting the author of the upcoming book, Beneath Blossom Rain – cool, huh?)
