I always imagined mollusks to climb around the bottom of the ocean floor, not swim around rather gracefully.

We spotted a cop car driving on the sidewalk outside and discovered that it was chasing along a dog, which then got picked up the by the animal control truck that you see. Who knew wrangling animals was part of police duties too?

There was a mouse scurrying around the house, so I closed it into one room when I randomly spotted it and proceeded to try to capture it from under the bed. It started to squeak at me when I got close to grabbing it. Stay tuned for what happened next in another installment.

Pelicans! Real live ones!
Wow, their marine layer came in really early!
You can't even tell the ocean is right there.
It's a haunting image made even more eerie by the foggy air.
Driving up allows for this view of Santa Barbara, now completely covered by the marine layer that crept over.
