Missy is a playful cat who just wanted to chase around the mouse. Of course the mouse wasn’t aware of this, so it was frozen until it saw an opportunity to run. I was able to help get it outside, but Missy still wanted to have some fun.

We spotted a cop car driving on the sidewalk outside and discovered that it was chasing along a dog, which then got picked up the by the animal control truck that you see. Who knew wrangling animals was part of police duties too?

There was a mouse scurrying around the house, so I closed it into one room when I randomly spotted it and proceeded to try to capture it from under the bed. It started to squeak at me when I got close to grabbing it. Stay tuned for what happened next in another installment.

Pelicans! Real live ones!
Wow, their marine layer came in really early!
You can't even tell the ocean is right there.
It's a haunting image made even more eerie by the foggy air.
Driving up allows for this view of Santa Barbara, now completely covered by the marine layer that crept over.
