When a plane sees its shadow

If a plane saw its own shadow, would it get scared like a groundhog? 😛 I don’t usually catch the shadow of the plane I’m in, but this time the angle was just right.

The slightly creepy black bird

Neither of these videos do justice to what it was like to see this bird in person – the first is its piercing chirp (not quite as intimidating as it was) and the second is it bouncing around on cattails (hardly any bouncing appears to be happening). Nonetheless, they give you an idea of my encounter with the creature that is usually perched atop the pavilion in the background, staring down at you.

I was working at the computer one afternoon when some movement caught my eye. So random!

Ah they’re so cute! When I was a kid, you could get ducklings and chicks to raise but then they banned those sales. Looks like you can still find them though.

Where did the days go?

Suddenly I find it is already nearly a week since I last posted.  I’ve been pretty preoccupied with thoughts of business ventures and taking care of the mounting list of tasks.  Plus, Missy has been following me all around the house, purring and meowing and otherwise grabbing my attention whenever she can.  So, I leave you with a clip of a jetstream left behind by some plane… a glimpse at what I do when I travel!  Something like this could entertain me for minutes, since there’s not much else to see on the plane.

Philosopher’s in town so we went into D.C. today to check out the sights. We came across this duck at the Constitution Gardens Pond… little did I know it was a wounded fellow! I quickly left him alone after that.

Bunny stalking

It’s hard to see, but those blotches are bunny rabbits hiding in the darkness. For awhile, every night they’d come out and nibble on the grass by the neighborhood pool, so one night I decided to do a little paparazzing.

Even Lego people get to have their fun on the Stratosphere!

Octopus in motion

I never expected an octopus to appear graceful. Pretty cool. We were definitely captivated.
